Employee Rules & Site Guidelines

Every Kelly employeed individual is expected to follow Kelly policies and procedures, as well as those of RTX while on assignment. Aditionally, every individual is expected to abide by the law and to act with the highest level of ethics, honesty, and integrity.

RTX and their subsidiaries expect the following from you as a Kelly employee assigned at their facility, including

  • regular attendance at work
  • follow all environmental, health, and safety rules
  • follow all conduct policies and guidelines
  • have a quality job performance
  • be committed, honest, have sound work ethic, and good character
  • No smoking of any kind is allowed on any campus

Failure to comply with these requirements may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination. The following list outlines safety reminders to help employees maintain a safe and hazard free workplace. This list is not intended to be all-inclusive.

Smoking & Tobacco

All RTX campuses are smoke-free and tobacco-free.

This policy also pertains to any devices intended to simulate smoking, such as the “vape and or electronic cigarette.”

Smoking and use of smokeless tobacco are not allowed anywhere on property, including buildings, grounds, parking lots, or personal vehicles. Individuals who choose to use tobacco products must leave Company property to do so.

Employees caught violating this policy may be disciplined, up to and including, termination.

Cell Phones

The use of cell phones, or other electronic devices capable of sending or receiving phone calls or text messages, for personal use is limited to office, cubicle, or break areas (not on production floor).

Personal phone calls should be minimal during working hours and must be limited to break and/or lunch periods when possible. Use of any photographic equipment or photographic, video and audio recording features of cell phones (personal or company issued) is strictly prohibited on P&W property.

Responsible use of cell phones for business related tasks is permitted only when stationary and never while operating equipment or at a workstation. The use of cell phones, or similar electronic devices, while operating equipment or at workstations presents both a safety and quality hazard and is therefore strictly prohibited.

Headphone / Radios

The use of headphones, earphones or ear buds are not permitted while working on the production floor.

Where appropriate, the use of headsets and/or Bluetooth speakers for business related tasks (i.e. training) is permitted in office areas. Radios are not permitted inside the facility.

Security- Badging

Your employee identification badge is a key part of our security system.  Security badges  must not be altered and must be worn in plain sight (above the waist) while on the premises at all times.

You are required to swipe your badge in a badge reader upon entering and exiting the property and facility.   Doors not having badge reader or identified as employee entry points should not be used.

Under NO circumstance are you allowed to let another person through the entrance without scanning their identification badge. In other words, no “Piggybacking” is allowed.

Employees should ensure that all building doors and gates remain closed at all times.

Employees who forget or lose their badge must contact their supervisor/manager.

Cardinal Rules

All employees, visitors, customers, contractors, and vendors are expected to comply with the site-wide Cardinal Rules.

A Cardinal Rule is an expectation for a safe behavior that has the severity potential to cause a fatal or serious injury or cause serious harm to the environment if not followed.

Failure to comply with the requirements of the Cardinal Rules may result in disciplinary action up to termination of employment or services.

Code of Conduct

“Act with Integrity,” the RTX Code of Conduct, is intended to inspire, guide and support our best performance – individually and collectively.

The Code provides information about how we should conduct our business and hold ourselves to the highest standards of business conduct. Setting standards in line with our values, the Code helps us to build a strong ethical culture and guides us to achieve our business goals with integrity.

Employee Health & Safety

Pratt & Whitney will not be satisfied until its workplace is safe from hazards, its employees are injury-free, its products and services are safe, and its commitment and record in compliance, pollution prevention, and protection of the

natural environment are unmatched.

Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)

Emergency Protocols

All emergency equipment, such as fire extinguishers, fire alarms, and exit doors, must be kept clear of obstacles and meet OSHA requirements. Know the location of fire and safety exits. Evacuation maps are posted throughout the facility.

  • Employees are required to meet at the designated grassy muster area. To allow emergency vehicles with access to the property, and for your safety, do not congregate on the roadway or in the parking lot.
  • Housekeeping is everyone’s business. Keep your area clean by practicing the 5 S’s when performing housekeeping tasks.
  • It is the responsibility of each employee to carefully examine their equipment and or machines to ensure equipment and machines are in good working order.
  • Aisles must be kept cleared and material properly stored and racked at all times.

Attendance

To maintain a productive work environment, Pratt & Whitney expects employees to be reliable and punctual in reporting for work at their regularly scheduled start time.  Employees are also expected to remain at work for their entire work schedule, except for meal periods or when required to leave on authorized Company business. Late arrival, early departure, and absenteeism place a burden on other employees and on the Company.

Excessive absenteeism or an inappropriate pattern of absences can lead to disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
